This shoot has to be one of my favourite Contemporary Portrait Sessions to date. The gorgeous Rachel totally rocked it – such a great vibe and so comfortable with her own body & style.
Having recently completed one of Tara Grimes Fitness Body Transformation Programmes, Rachel was treated to a Be Beautiful Be You #BBBY session at the end of her 6 week training. This was in recognition for her commitment and effort.
Rachel signed up to Tara’s Body Transformation programme as she wanted to tone up her body and overhaul her diet. She wanted to loose around 7lbs and fit back into some of her favourite clothes that she used to wear. With 2 kids, 3 jobs and a degree course on the go, Rachel decided it was time to get focused and get fit. She had seen the results that other busy mum’s were achieving with Tara and signed up for the 6 week course.
Like a lot of us, Rachel hadn’t been approaching her training and diet properly for a number of years and this is were Tara’s expert advice came into it’s own. She gave Rachel lots of tips on how to eat healthy, provided tasty recipes and showed her how to work smarter to achieve the results she wanted.
Rachel trained 3 times a week – 2 strength based sessions and one cardio and achieved phenomenal results. She lost 8 lbs and 4 inches off her tummy area alone. On the day of her Contemporary Portrait Session with myself, she looked radiant. Glowing skin, sparky eyes and her hair looked so healthy. A shining example if I ever saw one.
I was assisted on the shoot by the equally gorgeous Eadoina from Inhaus Hair & Makeup. We discussed what style Rachel preferred and went for a soft wave in her hair. Very reminiscent of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Her make-up was very natural with a hint of shine on the lips. As with all my Be Beautiful Be You sessions, we shot three different looks to give a greater variety to choose from. Working with Rachel was a breeze – the perfect model and lovely both inside and out. A real gem.
